One (1) MNH SINGLE STAMP in title taken from a Booklet.

From theย 2019 Canada Post HISTORIC COVERED BRIDGES Series

Take a trip through days gone by with this SINGLE STAMP from a booklet of 10 PermanentTMย domestic stamps of Canadaโ€™s historic covered bridges.

Each of the five stamps features a colour photograph of the bridge, its name, and key details, including the year it was built, the length of the span and the type of trusses used.

New Brunswick's Hartland Covered Bridge, with a span of 391 metres across the Saint John River, is the longest covered bridge in the world.

Quebecโ€™s Powerscourt Bridge is also known as the Percy Bridge. Built in 1861, it is considered Canadaโ€™s oldest covered bridge and is the worldโ€™s only remaining example of the McCallum arched truss design.

Also in Quebec, the Fรฉlix-Gabriel-Marchand Bridge is the provinceโ€™s longest covered bridge, at 152 metres.

Ontarioโ€™s last remaining historic covered bridge is the West Montrose Bridge. Also known as โ€œthe kissing bridge,โ€ it spans the Grand River north of Waterloo.

British Columbiaโ€™s Ashnola No.1 Bridge is also the last of its kind in that province. During a 1926 rebuild, its Howe trusses were sheathed in wood panelling, while the overhead cross-bracing was left exposed.
